Yes. Any person born on or after January 1, 1988, must successfully complete a NASBLA-approved boating education course before operating a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater.

You must be at least 26 years old and possess a valid driver’s license to rent a boat.

No prior boating experience is required. However, operators born on or after January 1, 1988, must have a valid boating education certificate. Before departure, our staff will provide a safety briefing and operational overview of the vessel.

Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends and holidays, to ensure availability, but walk-ins are also accepted.

Yes. U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are provided for all passengers, along with all required safety equipment.

All boat rental reservations are non-refundable.
If your plans change, reservations may be rescheduled up to the day of your rental, subject to availability.
Once the rental period has begun or the boat has been taken out on the water, the reservation is considered used and is no longer eligible for rescheduling. Customers may not return a boat after use and request a rescheduled rental date.
In the event Lakeside Marina is unable to safely operate due to severe weather, unsafe lake conditions, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, our staff will work with you to reschedule your reservation.

Absolutely! We love welcoming four-legged passengers aboard.
Pets are permitted on our rental boats; however, owners are responsible for any pet-related messes, damage, or excessive cleaning required after the rental period. Please help us keep our boats clean and enjoyable for all guests by cleaning up after your pet.
Boat Storage and Dry Dock

Until our mobile launch request system is implemented, simply call us approximately one hour before you’d like to use your boat, and our staff will have it ready for your arrival.
We do not require your keys, as boats are moved by hand and not operated by staff.

Yes. Temporary wet storage may be available depending on lake conditions and marina capacity. Please call the marina for current availability.

Safety is our top priority. Severe weather, unsafe lake conditions, lightning, or low water levels may affect rental operations and launch schedules.

We do not have a launch ramp and we cannot take boats off trailers with our forklift. We recomend using Wittenburg Access.
